1971: full financial crisis. In this context, David Plastow, freshly became CEO of RRMC, began to think about a new car: the Rolls Royce Camargue. His initial goal was to replace the Corniche coupe and reaffirm, before the world, the “strength” of Crewe’s Company. For this reason, the project involving the Camargue put all together famous names in the world of motoring as Sergio Pininfarina and Paolo Martin, designer in charge of setting up the lines of this new Rolls Royce. As a result of this collaboration, the Camargue was born: an impressive car but with understated elegance, which revolutionized the market for luxury cars at the time, not only realizing the goal that David Plastow had in mind, but going beyond “giving” the world a work of art!
