C 63 S: More Carbon, More Horsepower, More Brabus
Fixed point for all tuned AMG lovers, German tuner Brabus has given birth to a rather doped Class C. In fact, saying “rather doped” is a mildly, since this supersedan, which in its already powerful AMG version delivers 503 horses, in this case it is even able to ground 641hp and 818Nm torque. How is this possible and why? We answer to the second question first, simply remembering that Brabus has held several records for having shoved tons of horses under the hoods of various Mercedes sedans (but also wagon, coupe, roadsters and SUVs, even six wheelers!), and all thanks to a delicate work at the engine compartment of the C63 S: the 4.0 twin-turbo has been turned inside out, updating and increasing the size of the turbos, reprogramming the ECU and replacing the manifold with a stainless steel exhaust system equipped with butterfly valves. All this lead to a 0-100 kph of just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of about 330 per hour. Along with Bilstein they have been also studied a new suspension package that will help in putting on the ground all the power you have available, without having to open the doors at the first corner, while from an aesthetic point of view we find a lot of carbon, such as the new rear diffuser, the spoiler on the trunk and the rear view mirrors, while in the interior, luxurious leather upholstery and additional carbon fiber maintain the high quality that Brabus offers its customers and enthusiasts from quite a long time.
