The Swedish “Mega GT” has 4 seats, 1,700 hp and 3,500 Nm of torque.
It is rumored that there cannot be a Geneva Motor Show without a new Koenigsegg. This year we welcomed a new creature from the Swedish manufacturer, but not the Swiss salon. The Gemera is a further leap forward for Koenigsegg, which presents its first 4-seater, still maintaining stellar cruiser performance. The Mega GT is in fact powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2-liter twin-turbo 3-cylinder combined with 3 electric motors, two on the rear axle and one on the front one. The total of the four engines leads to 1,700 hp of power and 3,500 Nm of maximum torque.
400 kph of top speed and 0-100 kph in just 1.9 seconds, with the possibility of recharging the car from the socket of your living room and thus traveling up to 50 km in full electric mode. All-wheel-drive and a series of electronic controls can be used to avoid disaster at the first corner. Being a 4-seater there is also an impressive care for the cabin, as all occupants are immersed in the comfort of large seats that enjoy the lack of the central pillar. Only 400 units will be produced.
